Why does Souk gold have no price tags? It's not a trick. The price moves every day. You pay the weight times today's gold rate, plus a making charge. Today, twenty-two karat is about four sixty-seven dirhams a gram, up six since yesterday. So ten grams is around four thousand six hundred sixty-eight dirhams. A tola? About five thousand four hundred forty-four. Now the useful bit: ask for the making charge separately. That's the part you can negotiate. Save this before you hit the Souk.
