Primary UAE gold-rate source

GoldTrack UAE uses the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group reference rate as the benchmark for UAE retail gold pricing. The site reads publicly available market reporting that republishes this reference rate, then presents the values in a cleaner format for shoppers, tourists, and residents.

Rates are shown in AED per gram for the major retail purities: 24K, 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K. These figures represent the underlying gold value before shop-specific making charges, design premiums, repair costs, buyback spreads, or negotiated discounts.

Update frequency

Public gold-rate pages are refreshed on a recurring schedule, with the main live-rate data revalidated every few minutes. If a source is temporarily unavailable, the site may keep showing the most recent available snapshot until fresh data can be retrieved.

Currency and weight calculations

Currency pages convert the AED per-gram gold rate into selected home currencies using third-party foreign-exchange snapshots. Because the UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar, most day-to-day movement in INR, PKR, BDT, and other converted prices comes from the home currency's movement against the US dollar.

Tola pages use the South Asian market convention of 1 tola = 11.664 grams. Weight pages such as 1 gram, 10 grams, and 1 kilogram multiply the live per-gram rate by the selected weight.

Why shop prices may differ

Jewellery shops add making charges, design premiums, brand margins, and sometimes card-payment or buyback spreads. Investment bars and coins usually trade closer to the live rate than handcrafted jewellery, while bridal sets and custom designs often carry higher making charges.

GoldTrack UAE is not a broker, dealer, jeweller, financial adviser, or customs adviser. The site is built for reference, comparison, and education; users should verify final shop quotes and import rules before buying or travelling with gold.
