All the World's Gold Fits in One Small Cube?
All the gold ever mined, roughly 216,000 tonnes by World Gold Council estimates, would fit in a cube only about 22 metres on each side. That's because gold is so dense, about 19.3 grams per cubic centimetre. Here's what one gram of 24K costs in Dubai today.

Why does all mined gold fit one cube? You'd think it'd fill a mountain. It doesn't. Roughly two hundred sixteen thousand tonnes have ever been mined. That's an estimate. Pack it together and you'd get a cube only about twenty-two metres on each side. Why? Gold is so dense, about nineteen point three grams per cubic centimetre. So what's a gram worth today? Twenty-four karat is five hundred four dirhams, up about six from yesterday. You pay by the gram, so watch the scale. Follow for tomorrow's rate.
