Gold is holding steady in the UAE. Twenty four karat is unchanged this week, at about 498 dirhams a gram. Over the past month it has slipped about 25 dirhams, from a high near 528, and now sits close to the monthly low of 494. Twenty two karat is about 461 dirhams, or roughly 12,100 rupees.
